DGC Homes: A Family Owned and Operated Business
Founded in 2014, DGC Homes is a local small business in Jacksonville, Florida specializing in the rehabilitation and preservation of REO, residential and commercial properties. Beginning with a strong background in the construction industry as a young teen, Douglas Green began his career helping his family business in the flooring industry. Branching out to full renovations of historic Spring Field homes, Douglas was able to expand his experience into all areas of rehab and home repairs, including interior demo, drywall installation and finishing, interior and exterior painting, LVP flooring, and full kitchen and bathroom renovations.
Realizing there was a need for the maintenance of REO properties, Douglas added a preservation department within DGC Homes. Having crews spread across Florida, preservation projects were covered in all areas from Pensacola to Jacksonville and all the way to Miami. This gave DGC Homes the advantage of experience in the variety of work orders that many property management companies need. Routine lock-smith services, winterizations, curing safety hazards and landscaping services were among the standard for every property.
From here, Douglas knew that investing in the proper equipment would be crucial to continue the rapid growth of DGC Homes. With this, work orders were expanding to the larger scale projects, such as an evictions team that could haul away debris in large quantities, pool draining and securing, and violation cures. Having teams trained in special projects such as these became a priority for the company. With this, DGC Homes has reached great potential with property management clients, realtors and homeowners.
